Industrial Container Services, LLC Acquires Lakeland Drum Service, Inc.
MONTEBELLO, CA - Industrial Container Services, LLC of Montebello, CA (ICS) announced today that it has acquired all of the operating assets of Lakeland Drum Service, Inc., a privately held steel drum reconditioner located in Auburndale, Florida. Lakeland Drum Service has been a premier supplier of reconditioned steel drums to the citrus industry in Florida for over 35 years.
"As the market leader of reconditioned steel drums, Industrial Container Services recognizes the strategic opportunity to expand our services to the Florida citrus juice industry with an additional steel drum reconditioning facility in Auburndale, Florida. The acquisition of Lakeland will give us greater ability to meet the stringent quality and service demands of our citrus customers", states Kay Rykowski, ICS' Vice President of Engineering.
ICS will operate the Lakeland Drum Service facility under the name Industrial Container Services - Lakeland, LLC. Mr. Dale Guy, one of the selling shareholders, has accepted the position of Facility Manager with the newly created company and will continue to manage sales and operations for the facility", states Mr. Jerry Butler, ICS' Vice President and Chief Operations Officer.
