Mr. Butler was born October 13, 1956 in Philadelphia, PA.  He graduated from Lycoming College, Lycoming, Pennsylvania in 1979, with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in accounting.  During his high school and college years, Mr. Butler also worked in the family business, B&F Cooperage, Inc., a Philadelphia area container reconditioning firm.  In 1985, he was inducted into the Lycoming College Hall of Fame.

Following graduation, Mr. Butler joined B&F Cooperage full time, serving as Operations Manager.  From 1983 to 1986, Mr. Butler worked with other Delaware Valley container reconditioners; in 1986 he joined Metro Enterprises, the largest company in the area.  Mr. Butler was appointed Plant Manager.

In 1989 he resigned and formed BP Electro Mechanical Company, an engineering services firm working with manufacturing companies.  In 1991 he returned to the drum industry, joining Container Management Services of Hayward, California.  Mr. Butler was appointed Director of Manufacturing, with responsibility for both new drum manufacturing and drum reconditioning operations.

In 1995 Mr. Butler joined Drum Service Co. of Florida, Zellwood, Florida, as Operations Manager.  In September, 1996 he was appointed Vice President – Operations, with responsibility for all areas of production, transportation and maintenance.  After the formation of PalEx Container Systems (now IFCO Industrial Container Systems) in February, 1998, Mr. Butler was named Eastern Regional Manager. In September 2005 he was appointed to COO of Industrial Container Services.

Mr. Butler has been a member of the Reusable industrial Packaging Association since 1998. Has been a on the Board of Directors for 12 years served as Treasure and currently is the Vice-Chairman.
